Dawa Sherpa
Joining Hands For A Change
Dawa Sherpa was born in 1987 in the scenic village of Solukhumbu, Nepal, where he grew up surrounded by the majestic Himalayas—landscapes that would later shape his life’s purpose. Seeking better educational opportunities, he moved to Kathmandu, completing his college education in 2007. Driven by a deep passion for the mountains and adventure, he soon pursued trekking guide training and obtained his official Trekking Guide License. Since then, he has led countless treks across Nepal’s most beautiful and remote trails, sharing his knowledge, love for nature, and warm hospitality with travelers from around the world. Beyond his career in tourism, Dawa is a dedicated humanitarian. In 2015, he founded Joining Hands for a Change, a non-profit organization committed to improving the lives of vulnerable children. Through this initiative, he has supported orphans, rescued underprivileged children, contributed to disaster relief efforts, and provided aid to young people battling serious illnesses. His work has touched many lives and reflects his deep commitment to service and community upliftment. Today, Dawa Sherpa serves as the Managing Director of Group of Newa and Sherpa’s Group of Companies, and he is the Founder and Chairman of ABCD Entertainment. He is also the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Into the Himalayas, where he strives to offer exceptional trekking, mountaineering, and spiritual pilgrimage experiences. With a vision rooted in sustainable tourism and cultural respect, he continues to promote Nepal as a destination of natural beauty, adventure, and spiritual significance. Dawa Sherpa’s journey from a humble mountain village to becoming a leader in both tourism and social service stands as a testament to his perseverance, compassion, and unwavering dedication.
